Let's start with the basics - what are couture portraits? Couture portraits are high-end, personalized photographs that showcase the beauty and luxury of couture fashion. They are typically taken in a studio or on location, and feature the client dressed in custom-made couture clothing.

So, why should you even bother with a couture portrait session? Well, for starters, it's a totally luxe and personalized way to showcase your unique style and personality. You get to be yourself, or even a more exaggerated version of yourself, and rock those outfits you've always wanted to wear but never had a reason to. Couture portraits capture this essence in a way that's both glamorous and authentic, so you can be your fabulous self without holding back.

Couture portraits can also be a way to commemorate a special moment in your life. Whether it's a milestone birthday, graduation, or wedding, couture portraits can create lasting memories of these important events. And let me tell you, the whole experience feels like a luxurious self-care treatment in itself. But capturing the polished, high-end aesthetic of couture fashion while also showcasing your unique personality and energy can be a challenge. So how do you find the right balance?

First and foremost, it's important to work with a photographer who understands your vision and can bring it to life. Look for a photographer with experience in couture style photography and a portfolio that resonates with you.

Once you've found the right photographer, super importante, take some time to discuss your vision for the shoot. Share your interests, passions, and personal style, and work with the photographer to create a shoot that showcases your unique personality. It’s ok if you don’t know what that is exactly. Most of my clients go blank with this part. This is a self discovery project. Take a moment to self reflect and ask those really close to you for assistance.

Psst! Secret time! Bring one item to the shoot you really resonate with no matter what it is. Maybe it’s your grandmother’s brooch or your quilt you’ve had since you were little. This element will make it even more special and authentic.

Last but not least, don't forget that authenticity is all about embracing imperfections and quirks! It's what makes you unique and stand out from the crowd. Couture portraits are supposed to capture the real YOU, so don't be afraid to let your personality shine bright like a diamond. Try out all kinds of poses and facial expressions, and let your photographer work their magic to capture your best angles. And, most importantly, remember to just chill and enjoy the shoot!

To wrap it up, couture portraits are a fancy and customized way to capture your true essence. With the help of a great photographer (*cough cough*) who understands your vision, you can create breathtaking, timeless photographs that highlight both the elegance of couture fashion and your individual essence.

Convinced?! Let talk about it a bit more. Seriously, I hope everyone reading decides to give it a try.
